Foresight is a Curse

Foresight is a curse. There's no benefit in seeing the doom lingering on the horizon when nothing can be done about it. To know a great darkness is coming doesn't change the dimming light around you, it only magnifies its presence. You know where this is heading, you see it already happening, and you can only ride it out, and watch it sweep away those around you too stubborn to pay attention.

Suffering is inevitable, but what's to be done in this moment? Do we celebrate that it isn't yet here, or do we cower in fear of it's arrival?
