I'm always amazed by the reaction of people when they learn about some new thing that could kill them. It's always the same apoplectic surprise and panic, total alteration of lifestyle patterns, distraction and escape, followed by another cycle when they discover yet another way they can die.
Death is a necessary component of life, one can't exist without the other. It's how light can't exist without darkness, a complimentary coexistence reliant upon the other to define it's being.
At any moment, without notice or warning, we can die, our physical existence wiped from the universe. No matter how hard we try to prevent it, no matter what precautions we take, the certainty of death remains absolute. When our time here is over, it's over, there's nothing further guaranteed. This is it, and once this moment passes, all that's left is what we've left behind.
If you're not actively dying, then it's it's time to live. Make something of this moment, tell someone you love them, create something beautiful, be alive!
