Abrasiveness

It's weird when people tell me that my abrasiveness is why I don't have more friends. Do they think that I don't know this? That this isn't something done with intent?

Look, I don't have any place in my life for people that don't have the strength to withstand my attitude. It's there as a checkpoint for neediness, to dissuade manipulative leeches from affixing themselves onto my energy.

If that's a problem for you, well then that's your problem, and I don't want be burdened by that shit, so there you go.

Get past that initial abrasiveness though, and then you're able to see beyond yourself enough that you won't take any offense at confrontational ideas, and that's when the really fun conversations can occur.
